Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to examine the differences of selection criteria that are considered by Muslims in Kelantan in selecting their preferred bank. Based on the past literatures, seven main criteria of banking selection have been studied to determine the significant difference of the criteria by focusing on the level of education of the respondent as research subject. Findings suggest that electronic service is the most important criteria influences customer’s selection and there is no significant difference between the groups in the selection criteria except on the bank reputation and image. In addition, qualitative method reveals that the religious factor is not primary criteria in selecting a bank among Muslims in Kelantan. This study suggests that the Islamic bank should analyze customer segment in any possible way to attract bank consumers especially Muslims to opt for Islamic bank. |
