Abstract

There are some factors will motivate the perception of tourism students to work in tourism industry after graduated in future from University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). In this study, the researchers had chosen to emphasis on UMK's tourism students as the research topic. Tourism industry had ranked as one of the uppermost contribution to Malaysia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The objectives of this study are to examine the relationship between decision in choosing tourism as a career path and vocational interest, skills and knowledge, and job satisfaction Stratified and simple random sampling method will be used to calculate the findings. 226 of respondents participated in this research study. Based on the Pearson Correlation analysis, the researchers can concluded that job satisfaction is the most important factor that will influence the decision of the UMK's tourism students in choosing tourism as career path. The findings also showed the respondents preferred sectors for employment in tourism after their graduation is travel agency or tour operator.
