Abstract

The research was about the motivation factors to visit dark tourism sites in the case of Penang War Museum. Penang War Museum was chosen because the museum was listed as the top ten most haunted places in Asia. This museum was also a part of the dark tourism sites in Malaysia. This study has used a quantitative method that gives questionnaire to the respondents. The researchers focus on tourist who have been or at the museum to have an accurate answer. This research has found that the factors do relate to the independent variables such as satisfy curiosity, novelty, and role media in spreading news, gain more knowledge and cultural heritage and identity. The significant of the research is that the researcher what to know motivation factor to visit dark tourism site in dark tourism
