Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the drinking water quality assessment in the mapping area of Batu Melintang. Most of the wells found in this area were located nearby Gunung Reng which is a limestone cave. The objective of this thesis to update geological map of study area, to analyse the physicochemical parameters of water quality and to classify the drinking water quality using WHO and MHO standards. The results obtained by conducting experiments from all the wells in my study area shows that the water is fit to drink even though some of the values have high reading compared to the others except for the well location of sample 7 in Kg. Kalai 2. This is because all the other values still within the permissible limit of drinking water quality but the Calcium and Potassium reading of the well in Kg. Kalai 2 shows a higher reading than the water quality standard. All the water samples taken were compared with both WHO the water quality standa drinking water qualities of the year 2011 and 2006 as well as MOH of the year 2010. |
