Geological mapping and determination of silica content in shallow domestic well at Gunong and parts of Bachok, Kelantan

A study about the geology of Gunong and its surrounding region was done. Besides that the variation of Silica content was determined to identify the circulating deprh of groundwater at the study area. The distribution of a few major ions in shallow groundwater wells were also identified through laboratory study from the sample collected at several parts of Bachok. The information was gathered through the field study of geology and also the laboratory analysis of groundwater. The type of groundwater in each region were evaluated by using piper Trilinear diagram, the silica content in the study area were identified and the regional flow of groundwater was also studied.
