Removal of heavy metal ions using agro wastes

The study on adsorption capacity of metal ions was conducted by using rub. The agro rubber tree leaves waste was chosen as they are more low cost and available in abundance. A series of batch studies was performed to evaluate several physiochemical parameters that include initial concentration, contact time and pH. The adsorption capacity was then analyzed by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophometer. The result revealed that, the absorbent used was an effective adsorbent for the removal of metal ions as the experimental data was followed both Langmuir and Freudlich model.
