Nur Shamsiah Shamsudin (2013) Estimating Land Surface Temperature Using Vegetation Indices Derived from Remote Sensing Data. Undergraduate Final Project Report thesis, Faculty of Earth Sciences. (Submitted) |
Abstract
vegetation indices (VI) are the oldest tools in remote sensing studies. Even they were many wariations exist, most of them ratio the reflection of light in the red and NIR wavelength of They were used to separates the landscape into water, soil and vegetation. The spectrum. thetandsat 7 Erm+ image was used for this study. This study is to determine the relationship between vegetation indices and land surface temperature. There are several vegetation indices used for this study, they are SR, NDVI, SAVI, PVI and TSAVI. A significant correlation was seen between temperature and vegetation indices. The best correlation was assessed and maximum correlation has been found in SAVI. |
