Abstract
The study focused on the morphological and physical properties of wild grown of Gigantochloa Scortechinii that were harvested from Pergau jungle. The bamboo culms were chosen to represent from 1 year 4 culms. In the morphological aspect, rhizome, culms internode, bamboo shoot, sheath, branches and leaves were investigated. The physical properties, focused on the internode length, diameter and wall thickness at nodes 1 to 30. Internode lenght has overcome with the mean value of 41.07, 41.89, 43.50 and 45.01 cm for 1,2,3, and 4 years of bamboo. Diameter of culm for 1,2,3, and 4 years are 7.78. 7.07 cm, 6.73 cm and 6.25 cm. The values for wall thickness are 1.29 cm, 1.17 cm, 1.14 cm and 1.13 for 1,2,3, and 4 year. |
