Entrepreneur has their own characteristics in managing and operating their business. One of the characteristics is their psychological characteristics that will influence entrepreneurs’ performance in doing business. The researcher focuses on achievement motivation, risk taking propensity, locus of control and innovativeness. This study aims to find out the relationship between these characteristics towards entrepreneurs’ performance in carrying out their business. A structural questionnaire was constructed to provide answer to the researcher questions. Factors examined include demographic details ranging from age, gender, and education level and entrepreneur background. Data collected was analyzed using PASW (SPSS) Statistics 18 for Business and Social Science Students. In this study, one hundred questionnaires were distributed to entrepreneurs in Pengkalan Chepa. The study surveyed four dimensions of psychological characteristics and among these dimensions, risk taking propensity have the highest correlation showed in their psychological characteristics. Discussion on findings, conclusion and limitations of the study are also included in this report.
