Abstract

The five basic ingredients such as fish meal, wheat pollard, soybean meal, rice bran and corn were analyzed by the proximate analysis or called proximate composition. Each of the ingredients were determined to get the percentage of moisture, crude protein, crude fat and ash. Some of the nutrient composition of locally available ingredients that used in poultry ration varies from nutrient composition of NRC (2001) and United States-Canadian (1982) Nutritional Data. Somehow, some of the value do not varies with NRC (2001) and United States-Canadian (1982) Nutritional Data. The findings of this project provided the fundamental scientific evidence of the nutrient composition of local ingredients. Thus, the data obtained from this thesis can help the farmers to use the local materials which is less expensive than the imported ingredients feed. From this findings, the farmers can create their own ration formulation as the feed for the chicken and reduce the feed cost from the total operation cost.
