The study area covers 25km2 in Kampung Paloh Tiga, Gua Musang and the coordinate is located within longitude E 102° 17’ 30” to E 102° 20’ 30” and latitude N 5° 2’ 00”’ TO N 5° 2’ 00”. The study is believed part of the Aring Formation, since the main river in the area is Sungai Relai which is one of the tributaries of Sungai Lcbir. Thus, the age range for the study area is Mesozoic which is from late Carboniferous to the early Triassic. The objective of this study is to produce a geological map of the study area which is up to date here in 2017. Besides, the objective is also to conduct an analysis on the fold structures of the study area. The methods used in producing the geological map are by conducting a field mapping and Geographic information System (GIS) approach. The important geological information of the study area are collected during the field mapping and then the data are proceeded with the related analysis like rose diagram and stereonet for interpretation. GIS is software used in producing a geological map. From the geological map, we can gain the geological information of the study area. Generally, this study area consists of pyroclastic and sedimentary rocks. The pyroclastic founds are tuff, ignimbrite, volcanic sandstone and volcanic breccia. The sedimentary rocks found are sandstone, mudstone, carbonaceous mudstone and conglomerate. There are wide distributions of geological structures found in this study area. The main structures formed in this area are fold and others like bedding, joint and fault. From the observation from the base map and the field mapping, the geomorphology of the area consists of two types of landform which is fluvial and hill landforms.
