This study touches on micro-credit approach taken by Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) as a measure to reduce poverty plaguing the poor, especially the hardcore poor and the poor around Tanah Merah and Malaysia generally. This study also focused on the relevancy and rationality of AIM as a micro credit institution in aiding poor community. In addition, the researcher also examines the role of AIM as an agent in reducing poverty. To get more detailed information, the researcher has focused this study on AIM branch office in Tanah Merah. In particular, this study aims to review the extent of micro credit in the AIM approach which is still relevant and still have a place or demand from their client. In addition, this study also reveals how the processes of financing and the terms of the financing to be known by the clients as a lender before agreeing to choose microcredit scheme as an alternative to solve the problem of poverty faced. Other than that, as we know every business has a competition, same goes to this microcredit. In order to improve their management, this paper also will study about the competition among micro credit to make their business maintain relevance and rational and provide the best service to their client. Overall, this study could open the minds of people today about how important micro credit financing in order to treat and prevent the problem of poverty because it's became part of the government's goal of achieving zero hardcore poor. There is no doubt that micro-credit can also reduce the problem of crime, including violence 'loan sharking' or 'Ah Long". With this study, people should not worry and feel hesitant because of micro credit financing scheme offer by AIM is a Muamalat system that meets almost one hundred percent Muslim.
