Nature tourism is one of the alternate tourism concepts which comprise environmentally responsible travel and visitation to relatively without interruption natural areas, in order to enjoy and appreciate nature. Due to this, this study was done in—measuring the local community perception on nature tourism at Gunung Reng. This study was also conducted to determine the relationship between knowledge and perception of local community towards their participation on nature tourism. Questionnaire survey was used in this study to data collection method. The data has been analyzed through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). 60 persons of local community around Gunung Reng were interviewed for questionnaire survey. In this study, three methods of analysis which are descriptive, reliability and regression analysis. Results show that 91.7% of local communities know Gunung Reng as nature tourism destination and one of the attraction destinations in Kelantan. Most of local communities (90%) agreed with participation in nature tourism activities can give the positive impact to the environment and also improve the nature tourism awareness among them and also exposed the importance of natural resources conservation and protection to local communities. Therefore, a few recommendations were suggested to develop Gunung Reng as nature tourism destination in Kelantan. One of the recommendations is to improve the condition of the infrastructure near Gunung Reng to make it more safety and good condition.
