The study area is located in Aring which is a part of Gua Musang administrative district. Basically, the study area is dominantly covered by vegetation and forest. The type of vegetation that dominant in this study area are palm oil plantation and rubber plantation. There are three objectives conducting this study: first is to update the geological map in scale 1225000; second is to analyze land use change using Landsat TM from the year 2000 and 2016; and third is to produce a map of the land use change of the study area. Besides that, the methods involved in conducting this study are preliminary studies, data collection which involved primary data and secondary data and also field studies which included mapping and sampling. For data processing, lab investigation especially petrography and remote sensing analysis has been done. Mapping and sampling are conducted in order to achieve the first objective. In addition, geological mapping provides information about geomorphology, structural geology, and lithostratigraphy of the study area. The type of landfonn in the study area is hills. The lithostratigraphy in the study area is mudstone, limestone and volcanic mainly pyroclastic (tuff). In order to achieve the second and third objective, Landsat TM and Envi Sofiware are used in this study. From the study, the previous geological map is up to date and the land use map of the selected year are produced. The percentage of cultivation class is increases year by year while the percentage vegetation class is decreases.
