Carita, Banten is aligned between longitude E 105°49'46.63" to E 105°49'46.545" and latitude S 6°17'29.557" to S 6°20'10.055" in Pandeglang Regency at the most west part of Java Island. The study area covers approximately 25 km2 area. The main objectives of this research are to update the geological map of the study area in scale of 1: 25,000 and to analyses the geological hazard (tsunami hazard) in the study area. The methods used to produce geological map is by field mapping and Geographic Information System (GIS), while for the tsunami hazard map is by secondary data (data collection from Centre of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation) and also using GIS to do the zonation. Based on the observation during field mapping, the study area is mostly covered by alluvium soil and beach sediments. The Young Volcanic Rock Unit which consists of basalt is come from Mt Asupan from Holocene age. There is no structure been founded because of heavy excavation and human activity such as agriculture and plantation. For tsunami hazard analysis, the methods that been use for this research is more to measurement and calculation from secondary data that collected from Centre of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Indonesia.
