The study area is located in Kuala Long, Jeli, and Kemahang, Tanah Merah, Kelantan. The study focuses mainly on groundwater sources determination at Kemahang. In this study, there are two methods that will be used which are geological mapping and electrical resistivity imaging (ERI). To update geological map of Kuala Long, Geological Information System (GIS) software is used. Apart from that, geological mapping also will be used in the study area to map the geological map of Kuala Long area. In addition, ERI is aimed to investigate the groundwater sources underneath the ground. ERI is a method that does not disturb the structure or the function of the soil which successfully became the best method in exploring the groundwater. Results from the ERI indicated the presence of zones with low resistivity values identified as fractured aquifer. A pole-dipole array is used to propose the groundwater source in the study area with total length is about 200 m for each resistivity survey line. The data is then recorded using ABEM Terrameter LS Toolbox before processed using RES2DINV software in order to obtain two-dimensional (2D) resistivity profiles which will provide a better view of geological condition and detect the groundwater presence.
