Abstract

This case study discusses the critical role of supply chain management in the operations of Yusen Logistics Malaysia, one of the industry's leading logistics organisations. It looks at how the company's supply chain strategy comply with its overall goals and contribute to its competitive advantage. Yusen Logistics Malaysia has established business as a leading logistics supplier in the area by focusing on efficiency, innovation, and customer-centricity. This study provides insights into how supply chain management improves operational performance, optimises resource utilisation, and fosters collaboration across the logistics network. Yusen Logistics Malaysia has made major improvements to its logistics processes by employing advanced technology and implementing best practices. These enhancements have resulted in reduced lead times and improved overall service quality. The case study

demonstrates how a well-coordinated supply chain is critical in satisfying customer ever- changing needs and raising business growth. By examining Yusen Logistics Malaysia's supply

chain strategies, this study reveals understanding on the dynamics of logistics management and its strategic implications for organisational performance. Furthermore, this study addresses major challenges and possibilities for Yusen Logistics Malaysia in today's market environment, such as the influence of digitization and sustainability trends on logistics operations. It also looks into potential ways for improving supply chain resilience and agility in order to avoid risks and capitalise on new possibilities. Finally, this study suggests possible topics for further research and strategic initiatives that would assist Yusen Logistics Malaysia maintain its competitive edge in the ever-changing logistics industry. Overall, this case study provides a comprehensive and thorough examination of the strategic role of supply chain management in logistics, emphasising the significance of efficient and customer-focused logistics operations in driving business success.
