Abstract

The main objective the topic is been enlightened is to study the determinant factors of tourist behavior. Understanding tourist behavior is essential to tourism marketers carrying out activities to develop, sell and promote tourism products. Although, researching tourist behavior helps marketers to define the needs of targeted groups of tourists, it has to be taken into consideration that for each tourist there is a variety of both personal and external determinants affecting the travel decision-making process. Besides often consider their tourist’s needs and wants, they also should rely on persuading them to buy their products and services. An understanding of tourist behavior is also important for product development of new tourism products and facilities. The respondents were from the visitors of Bukit Keluang Beach, Besut, Terengganu and about 100 samples of respondents were chosen to participate in this research. All data were collected and analyzed using One-Sample Test. The result showed that there is a relationship between determinant factors and tourist behavior. A replication of this study with other framework should be conduct to determine if the results differ from those observed in this study.
