Opportunity recognition act as a crucial and basic characteristic for creating an entrepreneur. To increase the activeness of entrepreneurship in this community, opportunity recognition must happened first. The sensitiveness to the factors which contributed entrepreneurial opportunity recognition being tested whether the community can sense by means of their prior knowledge, alertness, technology and social network. Through early literatures and theories of past scholars and experts, this study has put four hypothesis to a test whether the ability of the “penambang” and the small business operators able to sense opportunity through the act of prior knowledge, alertness, technology and social network.
