The aim of this research is to identify the tourism destination readiness in facing disaster and risk. The purpose of this study is to identify either the destination are prepared in facing disaster and risk. Other than that, this research also wants to compare the response from the tourism player based on the tourism destination readiness in facing disaster and risk. This research also investigates the impact of tourism industry towards media and communication in tourism destination readiness in facing disaster and risk. Disasters and risk can cause suffering to communities and economic losses to the destination and country. This study is to determine the risk management strategy that used by tourism players when facing any disaster and risk. Risk management strategy is to ensure tourism players are always ready to facing any disaster and risk, in order to avoid and prevent from happening more loss of property and a large number of deaths when disasters happened. The researcher used element of risk management strategy which are preparedness, responses, media and communication towards tourism destination readiness in facing disaster and risk. This research identifies preparedness, compare the response and investigate the impact of media and communication to tourism destination readiness in facing disaster and risk. Based on the result all the independent variable (preparedness, response and media and communication) are strongly related with the dependent variable(destination readiness in facing disaster)
