The purpose of this research is to identify the factors that influence student's choice in tourism industry as career path. In literature review, the research discusses deeply on to what extent does perception, motivation, and expectation plays an important role in selecting tourism industry as the student's career path. The research methodology explains about the quantitative study which was used to identify the factors that influence student's choice in tourism industry as their decision making when seeking a career. This research focuses on sample of 350 students studying at University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) in order to detect the factors that influence their choice of career path in tourism industry. In order to analyse the quantitative data, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and percentages were used to find the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The findings indicated that expectation is the essential factor that influences the student's choice in tourism industry as career path. This research adds on the perception, motivation, as well as the expectation is essential factors in shaping their image of tourism careers.
