Abstract

The study is about the general geology and determination of landslide susceptibility by using the Geographic Information System in Bechah Kelubi. The coordinate of study area is located at (4˚ 47’ 30” – 4˚ 50’ 30”) N and (101˚ 57’ 00” – 102˚ 00’ 00”) E. The purpose of the study is to update the geological map of study area and determine the limestone geohazard within the study area. Geological map is produced by geological mapping, fieldwork observation and collecting the rock sample. The rock sample is collected then cut for thin section for petrography analysis whereas the data collected such as strike and dip from the field observation are used for structural analysis. The potential of landslide susceptibility is detected by the data collected from certain parameter such as land use map, soil map and rain distribution data in order to produce a geohazard map using Geographical Information System (GIS). The data collected and map produced is important to contribute for the understanding of study area and may assist for developer in future development.
