Geological research conducted includes lithology, geological structure, geomorphology, stratigraphy and petrography around Kundur, Gua Musang. The objectives of the research are to produce the geological and geochemical map of the study area which is in Kundur Area, Gua Musang, Kelantan, to study the heavy metal distribution in agricultural topsoil in the area and to analyse the concentration of heavy metals in the area Observation on the geomorphology, structural geology and the lithology for every outcrop determine the geological setting in the study area The lithologies found in the study area are sandstone, granite, limestone, shale and slate. This research was conducted by doing fieldwork and laboratory analysis. Laboratory analysis includes analyzing hand specimen, petrography analysis under microscope and elemental analysis. Samples for the specification were collected from topsoil in oil palm plantations and then were analyzed using a laboratory machine which is Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). A map which represents the location of the sample was produced. Based on the results obtained, distribution map was created. The distribution map shows the concentration of each heavy metal in each location around the study area. Heavy metals that is highly contaminated includes Manganese (Mn), Lead (Pb), Zinc (Zn) and Copper (Cu).
