Geological research includes lithology, geological structure, geomorphology stratigraphy and petrography in Jeram Gajah, Lojing, Gua Musang. The study area is located at 4°43‘0”N to 14° 45‘O” N and 1O1"43‘30” E to 1O1°45‘0”E.The objectives of the research are to update the geological map of Jeram Gajah in the scale of 1:25000, to determine the present of heavy metals in stream sediment and to determine the correlation of water quality based on pH with the present of heavy metals in stream sediments. The lithologies found in the study area are chert, limestone, coal and quartzite. This research was conducted by doing fieldwork and laboratory analysis. Aspects that considered in fieldwork is observation towards lithology for every unit rocks found, geomorphology and structural geology. Laboratory analysis includes analysing hand specimen, thin section observation. Samples for the specification were collected from stream sediment and they were analysed using laboratory equipment called Inductive Couple Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). From the research the water quality at the study area is not suitable for drinking due to the acidic water because of the high concentration of heavy metals in the stream sediment.
