The study aim to assess the students and staffs’ perception on indoors environmental quality and to identify the possible occurrence of sick building symptoms in Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. This study used the quantitative method, involving the descriptive method. The survey method was used to obtain the data from the respondents. 41 staffs and 299 students have been selected as samples in the study by using stratified random sampling method. A set of questionnaires has been used as an instrument in collecting the data and the reliability value was acceptable (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.729). The result shows that majority 60.6% of respondents stated that they can accept the indoor environment. There are 40.7% of respondents showed that they sometime felt the sick building symptom. There is significant differences in comparison of the perceptions on indoor environment by respondents’ gender (p < 0.05). However, there is no significant difference between occurrences of the sick building syndrome with gender (p > 0.05). The bivariate correlation analysis shown the significant relationship between perceptions on indoor environment and occurrence of the sick building syndrome (r = 0.467, p = 0.000). Although the overall respondents’ perception on IEQ are acceptable but improvement is required especially on indoor air quality, ventilation, thermal comfort and noise services so that a better indoor environment can be enhanced.
