Abstract

Cash Waqf are charitable endowments establish with cash capital. The nature of their capital is in the form of cash. Cash Waqf carries several advantages which give great benefit to all parties such as financial institution, investors and societies. This research discuss on the trend of cash Waqf collection and cash Waqf payer in north, south and east state. The problem incurred in this study is there are low percentage recorded involving cash Waqf collection and payer. It is because lack of awareness and understanding among society. The factors that influence the lower trend of cash Waqf collection and payer are marketing and staffs commitment. This study is conducted by secondary data that is obtained from Majlis Agama Islam Negeri (MAIN's) that covers eight years period from 2006 until year of 2013. This research shows that the trend of cash Waqf collection and payer was differed according to each state. Through those year, there was a fluctuation in cash Waqf collection and payer in both north and east state. However, in south the cash Waqf collection and payer was increase. Thus, there is a few ways to increase the trend of cash Waqf collection and payer by implement the promotion such as advertising through radio, create a website and give a training to the staff to increase their performance.
