Snake bean (Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis (L.) Verdc. is a leguminous plant that belongs to Fabaceae family. It is one of the most popular vegetables in many
countries. Snake bean is rich in important nutritional values like vitamins, fiber and minerals. Due to the importance of snake bean, its quality and quantity should be increased. Mass selection is one of the breeding techniques to improve this plant. The objective of the research was to improve the yield by increasing the pod length through mass selection. Seeds from previous generation (third generation) were selected and grown for the fourth generation. From this research, the pods length and yield of snake bean population showed an improvement since the mean of the pod length increased from 50.95cm (third generation) to 51.1 1cm in fourth generation.
