The detection of estrus in beef cattle by using chin ball marker was conducted at Pusat Temakan Haiwan Pantai Timur, Tanah Merah, Kelantan. The purpose this project was to study the effectiveness of this method to detect the estrus in Kedah-Kelantan (KK) cattle. To detect the estrus of KK cattle, 8 cows was used in this study which been synchronized by using Control Internal Drug Release (CIDR) and being injected by Cidirol hormone. The random selected bull was used to detect the estrus of the cow by using chin ball marker device under its chin. The estrus sign (P<0.05) and marking on the rump of the cow (P<0.05) was collected and evaluated for 5 days. The data obtained for the marking method and visual observation method both was significant. Besides that, there was 75% of cow was found to be marked by the bull and most of the marking was happen during night (P<0.05).
