The aim of this study was to elucidate the incidence of goat coccidios in one of goat farm in Kg. Lata Janggut, Jeli, Kelantan and the effectiveness of coccidiostat to a positive coccidiosis kid. Two parameter were studied in this experiment; fecal oocyst count by determination of Oocyst Per Gram (OPG) count and also hematological findings. Total six kids age five months were selected; all of them were infected with coccidial infection. They were divided into two groups; Group A served as control while Group B was treated with coccidiostat in drinking water for four conservative days. Fecal and blood samples were taken at day 0, 4, 7, 11, 14 21 and 28 days post infections (dpi) and some of hematological and fecal related parameters were measured. The fecal was examined by McMaster floatation method while hematological finding were analysed using automated method. Granulocyte, hemoglobin (Hb), lymphocyte, monocyte, packed cell volume (PCV), red blood cell (RBC) and white blood cell (WBC) were determined. All infected kids showed symptoms of clinical coccidiosis including diarrhea with blood and oocyst excretion in day O. The number of oocyst decrease after the treatment with coccidiostat in Group B and the oocyst output did not stop in Group A until the end of experiment. A significant decrease in monocyte and increase in Hb, lymphocyte, PCV and WBC were obsen/ed as compared with control. No significant effect on RBC and
granulocyte was recorded in treatment with coccidiostat.
