The study was conducted at Kuala Long aims to document the updated geological map of the different granitic rocks found in Kuala Long, Jeli, Kelantan in terms of macroscopic and microscopic features and structural elements. Granitic rock found in the study area has been mapped as coarser grained porphyritic biotite since it is located at the western granite belt of Main Range Granite which extends westwards to the Grik area in Perak. The distributions of distinct granitic rocks found in study are quartz-rich granitoid, monzogranite, granite and quartz monzonite. The various geological structural found are fractures; oriented and conjugate, presence of rock boundary, formation of pothole, intrusion due to contact metamorphism, quartz veins and formation of wandering river. The study is concentrated on observation and documentation of field mapping with detailed laboratory analysis including thin section studies.
