Abstract

Kampung Lawar is one of the areas located at Jeli, Kelantan. This research is conducted to update the geology map of Kampung Lawar and its surrounding area with specific dimension of 25km2, to investigate the general geology of the study area, and to identify structure geology at the study area. The method use in geological mapping include geological mapping to identify the geomorphology of the area and also identified type of rock, and structure geology. The method use in this research is using aerial photography taken from Google map and Google Earth to identify the lineament, measure it'sstrike and dip, and analyze in software which is stereonet and rose diagram. Based on research, there are three types of rock which are granite, schist, and gneiss. Through the investigation, the strike-slip fault was discovered along the Pergau River. This fault make the rock moving to the left, and this evidence can be seen through geology map. The evidence of fault also can be found at study area.
