Study of Geology and Karst Geomorphology of Ladang Chua, Gua Musang, Kelantan

Geological and Geomorphologic Mapping-based methodology has been used in the process of identifying karsts formationllandforms. The study area was located at Ladang Chua, Gua Musang, Kelantan. The main purposes of this study are to update geological map of the study area, to identify karsts formation/landforms and to produce karsts geomorphologic map of Ladang Chua. The geological mapping was conducted at the study area to determine the geology and followed by making a conclusion about formation of the area. The study area is included at the Gua Musang formation based on the type of rock that has been found at the selected area. There are three types of karsts formation/landforms has been identified at Ladang Chua; surface karsts, subsurface karsts and surficial landforms. Geomorphologic mapping was successfully done with the help of interpretation from Google Earth in order to identify karsts formationllandforms. Profile graph and geomorphologic map of karsts formation/landforms were produced to show the karsts formation/landforms present in Ladang Chua. Based on the finding of this study ,karst formation/landforms in Ladang Chua has great potential use for geologist or others professional discipline since it offer diversified application such as cave tourism and hydrology.
