Abstract

The study area located at latitude of 4°51 '30 N and longitude of 101°58'58.1 E and also another one latitude of 4°52 '0.5 N and longitude of 101°57'10.1 E. Total area for study is 25 km². The contour elevation at the study area ranging from 100m to 300m. The lithology of the study area are dominated by limestone followed by interbedded sandstone and shale and interbedded sandstone and claystone . A few of volcanic rock such as tuff also founded. In the study area can be observed and see many slope along the road. And two slopes failure were identified. The types of slope failure are rotational and simple erosion. By the geological engineering analysis only Schmidt hammer and density of the rock and inventory of the slope failure are looked at in detail. Schmidt hammer analysis show limestone from the fresh rock are the strongest (150 MPa) among other rocks in the study area. Weathering profile on the study area show grade III to grade V.
