This paper basically discuss about the tourists perception assessment on the solid waste management on Tioman Island. Islands are more fragile in waste disposal as the lands are very limited for residential, commercial, agricultural and tourism. The growth of human's population, increasing urbanization; rising standards of living due to technological innovations have contributed to an increase in the both quantity and variety of solid wastes. This research is undertaken in order to evaluate the tourist's perspective on the management of solid waste on the island and to identify the tourist's perception for improving the solid waste service. There are several suggestions being selected. Pearson chi-square is used in this paper to know the association between the demographic of the tourist with the selected suggestion for improving solid waste.The findings of this study is that, educational level is the most important compartment to enhance the understanding of waste management, and income also play main role as people are willingly to pay for extra services to have proper disposal of the wastes.
