Geological research including lithology, geological structure, geomorphology, stratigraphy and petrology in Kusial, Tanah Merah located at 5 '48'30" North 102°8'52" East, at the north of Kelantan. The objectives in study area are to determine the types or rocks of the study area, to produce a geological map of the study area and to determine the type of volcanic rock based on texture. The type of lithology that found at Kusial is tuff, a type of pyroclastic rock. This research was conducted by doing the fieldwork and laboratory analysis. Fieldwork includes observation of the lithology, geomorphology and structural geology of the study area. For the laboratory analysis the sample observe through thin section analysis. Thin section analysis use for petrography analysis. The thin section must be observed under the microscope. Hand specimens also observe for petrography study. Structural geology also conducted to study the three-dimensional distribution of rock units with respect to their deformational histories. This understanding of the dynamics of the stress field can be linked to important events in the regional geologic past; a common goal is to understand the structural evolution of a particular area with respect to regionally widespread patterns of rock deformation. After carried out this research, all objective has been passed. The geological map of study area has been produced based on lithology found. The type of volcanic rock has been determined by petrography study.
