General geology and geochemistry of rock in Ulu Lalat, Gua Musang, Kelantan

Geological research include lithology, geological structure, geomorphology, stratigraphy and petrography in Ulu Lalat, Gua Musang located at coordinate 101°51'57.56"E and 4°54'52.479"N. Geological data in study area is very limited. The objectives of this research are to produce geology map of study area with map scale of 1:25,000, to determine the geochemistry of rock and to study petrology of rock in Ulu Lalat, Gua Musang. Lithology found in the area are granite, sandstone, shale, limestone, siltstone, and mudstone. This research was conducted by doing fieldwork and laboratory analysis. Aspect that considered in fieldwork is observation towards lithology for every unit rocks found in study area, geomorphology and structural geology. Laboratory analysis is include analyzing hand specimen, thin section observation and geochemistry analysis. After carried out this research, all objective has been passed. The geological map of study area has been produced based on lithology found. Geochemistry analysis of the rock found in study area have been analysed.
