Abstract

This study encompasses the area of planting materials production which can support the increasing demand for tapioca planting material through vegetative method (stem cutting). Based, on this study, the objective was to establish standard operation procedure for nursery technique for mass propagation tapioca and develop new propagation method for tapioca in order to increased multiplication ratio that can be produce from single parent material, result from the analysis conducted by using 1 way ANOVA and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT), there were significant difference between the ratio of multiplication of tapioca. The parameters that were used in the study are the growth height, number of new shoot emergence and the multiplication ratio of tapioca seedling establish. The tapioca stem that were planting using 0 degree angle produce more new seedling that another degree of planting event the growth rate are less than another treatment. After seedling, 0 degree angle were cut and transfer into polybag than the growth height increase more faster. The farmer can used this method in nursery to produce more seedling of tapioca from one stem of tapioca and increased the production of tapioca seedling in nursery to support the customer demand.
