The word bioethanol were surely known nowadays as it is by far the most popular biofuel worldwide. It had been used in many application and as we know it, many machines are using them as a fuel source. Producing bioethenol had become easier as many proven and established process had been developed. The aim of this study is to study the production of bioethanol from oil palm frond (OPF) via enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocallulose materials using Viscozyme® L as the enzyme for that process. Experiment setup was set up in order to produce bioethanol and some parameters were set to better find the most optimum way of producing the bioethanol. Conditions such as fermentation temperature, duration of fermentation and the presence off Tween 20 will be adjusted and analyzed. High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) were used to identify the bioethanol content and the optimum condition for bioethanol production from OPF were found. The enzyme inoculation for saccharification process of OPF were best done using 0.05M acetate buffer with pH 4.8 at the temperature 30°C and inoculated for 72 hours.
