Abstract

In this study, local vegetables and fruits were analyzed by reverse phase of High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC). The chosen vegetables and fruits were in close proximity to the place of experimentation. The results revealed the presence of various constituents with different antioxidant value. The proposed work carried out exhibited a particular class of antioxidant compounds although vigorous nature of work is needed to explore the full nutritional value of selected fruits and vegetables. Furthermore, the study was carried out to create the nutritional importance of these sources to enhance their consumption and utilization in Malaysia. A comparison with other nutrient values in different commonly vegetables and fruits were also reported.
