This thesis focuses on two types of studies that are the geological mapping and geomorphology of the study area, Kampung Star Ban', Gua Musang, Kelantan. Geological map of the study area is updated where there are two types of lithology. The first lithology is limestone. The second lithology is interbeded sandstone with siltstone, shale interbedded with sandstone and quartzite intrusion. Geomorphological study of the study area was conducted to relate the geomorphological classifications with its processes. There are four types of geomorphological classifications in the study area that are landform, fluvial, weathering and karst. The stage of landform is classified as youth since the study area have no flood plain and fast flowing stream. Same goes for fluvial geomorphology where the stage is classified as youth. This is because the size of the stream. This means that the depth and the width of the stream are low because the process of abrasion is still new. However, for karst geomorphology, the stage is classified as maturity. This is because the dissolution by water table does not happen anymore yet the dynamic action is still ongoing through weathering. The stages of these geomorphologic classifications were identified by making a field observation of on the geomorphologic characteristics.
