General geology of Kg Kuala Long and soil erosion emphasizing on the slope mitigation of KM8 Simpang Putat

A study about rate of soil loss was studied at KM8 Simpang Putat, Tanah Merah. There are no studies about soil loss at study area thus no data about it ever exist. Therefore this study was conducted to establish information about soil loss at the study area. The study is based on the condition of soil and it properties. The study was carried out by means of fieldwork and laboratory work. Fieldwork was involved sampling, measuring, data collecting and observing. Laboratory was carried out to analyzed and interpreted data. The Universal Soil Loss Equation is used to estimate the rate of soil loss annually. The result from this study can contributed to information in slope mitigation. Beside that is it also can prevent a problem involving soil in agriculture sector. Therefore this study has significant since there are no major effort was made in for soil loss rate.
