Abstract

The beneficial bacteria from the soil bacteria type that give the effect on germination and seedling growth of chilli seed was studied in laboratory experiment. The isolation of bacteria is come from the soil where the sample is diluted and cultured in nutrient agar plate. The several good colonies are selected randomly in nutrient agar plate as these colonies are growth in nutrient agar as stock culture and growth in nutrient broth as the culture used for experiment. Those selected isolation bacteria were tested to trigger the effected on the seed germination seedling growth through seed priming treatment before sowing. The sown process is done on the media cultured to avoid any factor during the test occur. The selected bacteria strain that contribute the effect to germination and seedling growth then were identified to be categorized as a one of the effective microbial that give the advance result to the seed before sowned. The futher study can be made on the effect of multiple EM to the seed as the various bacteria in the soil give the various effect for seedling growth.
