This paper covered two studies. The study discussed about geological mapping of Kg. Kuala Balah, Dabong, Kelantan. It is bounded by latitude 5°24'30'W until 5°27'N and longitude between 101 °54'E and 101 °56'30"E. The study area is a part of the Stong Migmatite Complex that was formed by rocks in three units which are Tonalite Berangkat, Granite Noring and Leucogranite Kenerong. The purposes of this study are to study the general geology and to make out geological of Kg.Kuala Balah. Lithology found in this study area are granite, interbedded sandstone, siltstone, shale, phyllite, slate, and shale with subordinate sandstone and schist. The second study discussed on trace elements concentration in groundwater samples in Kg. Beris Lalang, Bachok, Kelantan was conducted. About eleven groundwater samples and two surface water samples were analyzed at laboratory test for their Lead (Pb), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Iron (Fe), Cromium (Cr) and Aluminium (Al) content by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (ASS). The study reveals that some groundwater samples had marginally high concentration of Mn, Pb, Fe and Cr. This high concentration of metal ions in groundwater was probably due to unsafe discharge of effluent from landfill site, municipal wastewater, fertilizers and other industries. Regular monitoring of the quality of groundwater should be undertaken, temporally and spatially, to identify the sources of toxic contaminants and other inhibitory compounds that affect the potability of water.
