Fertigated tomato production under netted rain shelter and outside

A study on fertigated tomato production under netted rain shelter and outside was conducted in Agro Park, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. This experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance and yield of tomatoes grown under netted rain shelter and outside. 60 tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum var. '330') plants were cultivated under netted rain shelter and outside netted rain shelter, and irrigated daily through fertigation system. The growth and yield parameter were observed for both inside and outside netted rain shelter. As the results were obtained, there are significant different between inside and outside netted rain shelters in term of growth parameter and yield parameter. The tomatoes cultivated under netted rain shelter showed the good performance than tomatoes cultivated outside netted rain shelter.
