In this research, water convolvulus, leaf mustard and spinach were cultivated by using hydroponic system. The water samples consists of Jerteh River, Pengkalan Nyireh River, groundwater and distilled water which act as control in this experiment. The sampling water for Jerteh River, Pengkalan Nyireh River and groundwater has been conducted in Besut, Terengganu. Parameters that have been measured in the water sample are pH, salinity, sodium hazard, nitrate, chlorine, manganese, aluminium and zinc. Overall results show that water convolvulus and leaf mustard from Pengkalan Nyireh River has the highest height of plant. Meanwhile, water convolvulus and leaf mustard from Jerteh River record the lowest height of plant. The result indicates that spinach from groundwater records the highest height of plant and spinach in the Pengkalan Nyireh River shows lowest height of plant
