Abstract

Aglaonema species are a part of the Araceue family. All twenty one recognised and accepted species of ,Aglaonema are herbaceous evergreens Cultivation Aglaonema sp. is popular for the ornamental plant. Emergence of new hybrids from .rent crosses of these species causes unclear inheritance information and obscure about the native of the species. The cultivation of Aglaonema species has been established in many countries and interposes to the ornamental foliage plant industry In this study, the assessment of molecular markers was carried out using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) for phylogenetic analysis. In order to determine the best method for isolating genomic DNA of Aghionemu sp.. three methods of DNA extraction were performed. CTAB methods showed a higher yield of DNA quantity and quality. Optimizations of annealing temperature were canted out for RA PD analysis using fifteen random primers. Five primers showed hands that can further be used for RAPD analysis.
