Abstract

Family business is play a dominant roles in many industries today especially to the small company. This can be seen in many places that produce entrepreneurs who make the business as a place where they get the income in the life. Most of the businesses are correlated or inherited by a family members rather than establish the new company but it have some family members that reject the family business’s, the researcher used four objectives as the outlined to achieve the finding. That was to analyse whether there exist any significant relationship between ownership, management, age of the business and financial performance with acceptance and rejection of inheritance in family business. The researcher have did research methodology which is another important element in making a study because it can provide a guidance and influence of the result and determine whether the objectives of the research can be achieve or not. Kelinger (1973) stated that research is a way to analyse the data through the scientific method that seeks to find the answer for the problems. The independent variables for this research were factors in acceptance and rejection of inheritance in family business and there have four elements for the dependent variables that are ownership, management, age of business and financial performance.
