Halal certification has become a global issue of great concern and interest. In this regard, Malaysia is of no exception and in fact is regarded as the leading nation that seriously implementing the halal certification especially on the production of food. This paper aims to examine the dimensions for factors associated to Malaysian Muslim awareness on the implementation of halal certification. The factors examined include attitude toward halal concept, subjective norm (e.g.living in multiracial society), perceived behavioral control and demographic details ranging from residential area, gender, age, educational level,occupation and monthly income. Findings show that all of the factors selected were affecting Muslim awareness on the implementation of halal certification. Nevertheless, further research is very much needed to really have the clear picture on the whole implementation of halal in Malaysia especially on its effectiveness.
