Abstract

This case study is to explore legibility and design graphical tourist destination road signage for tourists from airport in Pengkalan Chepa,Kota Bharu heading to Wat
Photivihan,Kampung Jambu,Tumpat,Kelantan.Through visual research,there is only one road signage from airport in Pengkalan Chepa,Kota Bharu heading to Wat Photivihan Road signage is the most important thing for tourists to achieve their destination.This project is significant to design graphical tourist destination road signage and benefits the researcher during the process of investigation and producing the final product.The primary data of this research is through close ended questionnaire.According to the respondents and data analysis,many tourists are prefers icon used and text on tourist destination road signage.This is because it will be easy to recognise in a short time.There are two concepts on the icon used which is semiotic and closure for the final design.The digital approaches may also convenience for user nowadays.In conclusion,this research proposes the new concept to become better.Changing of system or concept will let out country get better and advance.
