In this project, the TiBCO was doped with magnesium at composition 0.20, 0.40, 0.60, 0.80, 1.00 mol. The samples was prepared by solid state reaction method. The weight of titanium oxide,7.987, barium carbonate, 39.467, copper oxide, 23.864 were mixed together. Then, the mixed powder grounded and calcined at 930 °C. After pelleting with 2 MPa, the sample undergo sintering process at 960 °C. The sample characterization were using four technique such as XRD, XRF, SEM and resistivity measurement. The techniques are X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis to determine the structure and phase formation of the sample while XRF for elemental analysis and the multi-meter to measure the resistivity of the sample at room temperature. XRD analysis result shows that the sample structure are slightly changing with the addition element Mg2+ from composition Mg 0.20 to 1.00 mol. The XRD also showed the addition element has decrease the sample porosity. XRF analysis shows that there are a change amount of impurities in the sample. From the tests, composition of the Mg2+ at 1.00 mol show resistivity was 16.804x10-3Ωm.
